Jessica Simpson's Maternity Line Debuts

She’s lost the baby weight — but Jessica Simpson still has pregnancy on the brain.

The new mom is launching her namesake maternity line today, lining the racks at Destination Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and select Macy’s stores with her contemporary, well-priced ($36 to $79) wares.

“It was such a great experience to design a collection with Destination Maternity,” Simpson says. “The line is full of fashionable styles that make you look and feel great.”

Highlights include cozy sweaters, sleek leggings, brightly colored blouses, crisp blazers and chic dresses, many inspired by Simpson’s popular Macy’s line. Denim is a focal point, as well, with jeans available in a whole rainbow of washes — and complete with belly panels. During a recent preview, we spotted kaftans and maxis we loved, too.

With her first pregnancy behind her, Simpson understands how moms want to feel when dressing their changing shapes. “You want to wear clothes that are flattering to your baby bump, [but] you want to show your bump off,” she explains. And it seems with this first collection, she’s found that balance.

“Jessica has exceptional style and design insight,” Destination Maternity president Chris Daniel says in a release. “Each piece embodies the spirit of the Jessica Simpson Collection, while also being unique and relevant to the maternity customer.”
