
Kagan Bierman advised a wide range of clients about the implications of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes throughout much of 2023, helping production companies secure interim agreements before a deal with the latter was reached. Day to day, she handles management-side guild and union matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, National Labor Relations Board proceedings, harassment, discrimination and bullying prevention and cultural assessments. Her clients include networks (Adult Swim, Weigel Broadcasting), production companies and animation studios (Fremantle, eOne, Industrial Media, Rick & Morty Productions, ShadowMachine), ad agencies (Mocean) and direct marketing companies (Guthy-Renker). An adjunct professor at the University of Miami Law School, she co-founded GreenLight Women and is co-chair of the ADL Government Relations Committee.
